Thank you for applying to the REcharge Academy! This is our flagship educator training program focused on clean energy. The intensive training blends lectures from experts and tours of energy facilities with replicable, hands-on K-12 lessons.

The application is open November 5, 2025 - March 1, 2026. Please expect to hear from us with decisions and more information by mid-March of 2026. Applications are considered on a rolling basis.

Would you like to add Room and Board?*

Room and Board costs $1000 in addition to the $1500 tuition, for a total of $2500.

If you opt to add Room and Board to your registration, KidWind will take care of all of your meals, your lodging from Sunday through Friday morning, and all of your transportation including your transfer to and from the airport.

If you do not add room and board to your tuition, you will be expected to secure your own lodging, transportation, and meals with the exception of a welcome and closing group dinners and transportation related to field trips.

If your attendance is contingent on receiving a scholarship, you can apply below. Scholarship applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and confirmed by March 2026. Please note that our limited scholarships are typically geographically bound. We welcome REcharge Academy returners, but please note that return attendees are only eligible for a $200 discount.

Cancellation Policy*

We understand that your plans sometimes change, and we strive to be as fair and transparent as possible. To help us manage event logistics and ensure equitable access, we’ve established the following cancellation fee schedule. Refunds are based on the date of cancellation relative to the event start date. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and reflect non-refundable processing fees. Cancellations processed now - April 30, 2026: Refund for 100% of your tuition and room & board payment minus processing fees. Cancellations processed May 1 - June 1, 2026: Refund for 80% of your tuition and 100% of your room & board payment minus processing fees. Unfortunately, no tuition refunds for cancellations can be processed after June 1, 2026. Room & board can still be fully refunded after June 1.
